Haven't posted. Why?
FULL TIME JOB.
So I was job hunting one week, as always, and had a bit of a mental breakdown. I applied for a job at boyfriend's work, and got an interview. A few days later, I woke up to a rejection email from that interview and two others. I cried quite a bit, vented to my housemates (I am still there. Sort of) and cried some more, and then sucked it up and tried to brush it off. I figured I may as well keep applying for jobs.
Spent half hour or so on this long ass application for a customer service phone rep position. About twenty mins later, whilst still applying for other jobs, phone started ringing. Was a dude from the company I spent a large amount of time applying for, who then did a first round interview over the phone, invited me in for a group one.
I went in, did my thing, and got good vibes off of them in regards to my responses. They seemed impressed. An hour or so later, got a text off my sis in law, who just happened to also be a previous employer, saying she got a call off a company asking for a reference for me. I started getting excited, tweeted about it, then headed home and started playing the sims. Got another phone call after a bit, from the dude who interviewed me, asking if the hours still were suitable, etc.
Was tempted to be like "HELLS YES, MOTHALICKA!" but I stayed calm and he said I got the joooob! Woo!
Second last day of my two weeks paid training today, and we have a huge test to take.
So yeah, I'm working as an outbound customer service rep for Medibank private. Calling people up before they go in hospital, welcoming new members, etc.
7 others starting with me. 4 other outbound, 3 inbound. They are all great. We have been on the floor a lot too, learning and the likes, and it is so casual and relaxed, and every day, everyone is smiling and happy to be there. Even dress code is casual wear. It's so good! I was a bit worried so many new people were starting, but asking people on the floor, the reasons other people were leaving were pretty legit. One girl is going back to school. Two got promoted, and another is going to a different sector. Others are just moving around and such.
It's so good. And having money is awesome!
K, other news.
Six months with boyfriend yesterday. He's pretty keen on living together still, and I'm warming up to the idea. Still not 100% sure, but it sounds better all the time. :P
He got me a laptop. I'm not spoilt, I'm paying him back. Rofl. He saw it all cheap and was like "we need to get this". So we did. Right then and there. Was entirely unexpected. :P
I dunno what else. Wooooo.
Everything is getting better.
